Wearing The Ruched Look
Ruched means a gathered ruffle or pleat of fabric used for trimming or decorating garments. Wearing a blouse with a ruched sleeve or ruched anywhere else on the blouse will make the blouse stand out and look noticeable compared to a plain blouse. The same as wearing a ruched skirt or ruched dress or ruched pants or trousers.
The good thing with a ruched look is that you can purchase for example a ruched blouse or top that is ruched on the sleeve, on the shoulder, the upper part of the blouse or on the stomach part/lower part of the blouse or the side of the blouse or top can be ruched. Ruched blouses and tops come made with different areas of the blouse/top ruched. Some blouses and tops can be completely ruched. So if you are not completely comfortable with the ruched look I'd recommend staying away from wearing entirely ruched pieces and start small with a ruched sleeve on a blouse or top.
When you see a ruched blouse/top or skirt or dress it is just a way to make a plain outfit look not so plain. Wearing anything that is ruched adds a little bit of flair to your look. Ruched looks are something that will always be around. It may not be for everyone because we all have different styles. But a ruched look is just something different and different is a good thing especially when it comes to fashion.
If a ruched look is not your thing that is perfectly fine. You don't have to wear it. Find something that works for.
