The Camouflage Look
camouflage was first used by the military in order to blend in with their surroundings and to hide and or conceal their location from the enemy.
In the military camouflage was intended to make a person invisible. But fashion designers have changed what camouflage means today. In today's times camouflage is worn to make a statement. Camouflage today is bold and loud especially when wearing a bright camouflage piece.
One of the more popular camouflage styles worn in the military is army green, beige, brown and dark grey. Another popular camouflage style is the Desert Battle Dress Uniform which was worn by the U.S. Armed Forces (to see the color). But nowadays you can find a camouflage piece(coat, jacket, pants, dress, blouse, sweater and so on) in just about any color.
Camouflage (also known as camo) is great if you're going for a more edgy and dressed down vibe. Camouflage is another look like biker shorts that works with combat boots, hiking boots, trainers/sneakers, pumps and ankle boots. Camouflage can work with just about anything. It all depends on how you style it.
Not sure if wearing camouflage from head to toe is a good idea. But if you're feeling bold enough and you like the look then go for it. But if you're not familiar with the look you might want to try one camouflage piece at a time. If camouflage is new to you I'd recommend maybe starting with a camouflage t-shirt that is not so bright (in a darker color).
So why am I talking about camouflage. Well lately I've seen some really cute camouflage parkas (by several designers one being Yves Salomon and another by Alessandra Chamonix just to name a few). The camouflage parkas also come with hoods that have pink fur or sometimes faux-fur, blue fur or faux-fur and a variety of other color fur or faux-fur on the hoods.
So I thought I'd put together some camouflage looks if you're interested in trying a look that is different from your usual look. Below are some camouflage looks. To learn more about each camouflage look click on each picture below which will take you to the retailer that sells the camouflage look.
