The Linen Look
Just in case you're probably wondering and have no idea what linen is let me tell you. Linen is a type of cloth that is made from flax plant. Linen is a natural fiber that is very durable. Linen is known for its natural breath-ability. Linen is also well known for being heavier and stronger than cotton. One of the best qualities about linen is the high moisture absorbency feature that it has. But the downside with linen is the fact that it tends to wrinkle a lot. It doesn't matter how much you iron it or steam it, it just has a tendency to get wrinkled easily.
I know that you're probably thinking it's still really cold outside especially here in the Northern Hemisphere. The temperature is still in the 30s and has been for the last two weeks or so. So why am I talking about linen you ask. Well Spring will begin on Tuesday March 20th here in the Northern Hemisphere (which is in 2 days) and then Summer will begin Thursday June 21. I know June seems like it's very far away, but before you know it, Summer will be here.
Since June is only a few months away. I thought I'd start pulling together some Spring and Summer time looks. Linen is very popular during the summer months because it helps to keep you cool when it gets really hot outside. So you don't sweat as much when you wear linen. I know that linen may not be for everyone because it tends to wrinkle quite a bit and it can sometimes be see-through.
