The Boxy And The Oversized Look

Every season on the fashion runways I see looks that are very boxy and oversized on the models. The oversized and boxy looks have a sort of masculine feel to it. This look may not be for every woman out there but the look can definitely work and if worn the right way you can make it an everyday look. The boxy and oversized look may feel masculine but with with the right pieces you can turn it into a feminine look.

Since the boxy and oversized look is not tailored to hug your body and is made to be worn bigger you can give it a feminine feel by pairing a fitted piece to the look. For example when I wear a boxy coat or blazer I tend to wear a fitted sweater or blouse (with ruffles, pleats, stripes, anything with a pop of color or something white or cream or really any blouse that I have that is fitted) underneath with fitted jeans or trousers. So now I've added a feminine feel to the look.

The boxy and oversized look is a great look to try out in the spring if you've never tried the look before.
