There are many gender bias in the tax system which women are highly affected by. One of the areas of tax where women are affected is when it comes to personal income tax . According to the U.S. Census report issued September 2010 men tended to have higher income than women. Even today the top earners who are enjoying the tax cut windfall are mostly men. Other tax areas that

disproportionately affect women are child care tax credits, payroll taxes and state and local taxes. Also there is a women's "Pink Tax", which is tax on tampons and other products made specifically for women. These are just some ways that taxes affect women.
