If you've been watching the news lately you'll notice that crime is going up. One crime in particular that I wanted to discuss is crime against women. In recent weeks three female joggers were all killed while running in public parks. Although the murders don't seem related you still feel a chill just thinking about something like this happening in broad daylight. The murders are no doubt very scary even disturbing. But I don't think we as women should stop living our lives. If you want to run in the park and have been doing so, I urge you to continue to run. It's just important that you be aware of your surroundings and exercise caution. In light of the recent murders you may also want to change up your running routine and the routes you run. It is also very helpful to have a running buddy. Not only will a running buddy motivate you to go running but you're not alone, strength in numbers. But by no means should you stop running if it's something that you enjoy doing.
