How To Guide For: Budgeting When You're An Impulsive Shopper

Safi Bello

It is easy to get caught up during the holiday and sales seasons especially when your favorite online retailers and department stores like Barneys, Bergdorf Goodman, Saks, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and your favorite brands like Zara, Mango, J. Crew, Banana Republic, Chanel, Gucci, Prada, Acne Studios, Chloe and so many others are having end of season and summer sales. You want to get the items that you've been dreaming about but couldn't when they were full priced. The thing is after two purchases the items start to add up. So I wanted to take this time to discuss how you can set a budget if you are an impulsive shopper. The best way is when shopping try to prepare a list and take that list with you and track your expenses which is what I do all the time.

The most important thing that has helped me is when I see something I like either in store or at an online retailer site before I swipe my credit card and click check out I make a mental note, take a deep breath and sleep on it giving myself 24-48 hours to see if I still really want it or if I actually need it. This has helped me tremendously in avoiding becoming an impulsive shopper. To learn more ways on how to budget if you're an impulsive shopper please click the pictures below to read the articles.
