I wanted to take a look at the history of women removing the hairs from their bodies through shaving and waxing. Women have been removing the hairs from their bodies since the 1900s. During the 1900s Gillette released their first razor. Then years later the bikini comes out and is introduced to women everywhere. Now with the rise of the bikini women are shaving and tweezing to get rid of the hair. Then in the 1980s Brazilian waxing was introduced and that became the thing to do to get rid of any unwanted body hair. Nowadays it's culturally acceptable and normal to have all of your body hair removed. So many people are grossed out by body hair. But I'm here to tell you that some body hair is actually good for you and has its benefits. For more information on the history of women shaving, waxing and tweezing their body hair, the benefits and to understand why people are freaked out by it please click on the pictures below to read the articles.
